To consistently win, organizations need to go beyond simply executing their processes consistently. Continuous improvement of business process is requisite. The formal approach to making processes better is to launch BPI initiatives. BPI is represented as the driver in this analogy because BPI initiatives are human endeavors. Technology is available to assist, but people drive BPI. In addition, process improvement that does not address strategic business requirements will fail in the long run. Process improvement is not about a single project, but about creating culture change in the business.
